Studies that involve atmospheric and oceanic observations, numerical/statistical modeling, artificial intelligence techniques, and climate theories are welcomed.Ĭross listed Tracks: Air-Sea Interactions Climate and Ocean Change Physical Oceanography: Mesoscale and Larger This session invites abstract submissions that address the mechanisms, impacts and predictability of climate variability in the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore, there is a pressing need to synthesize the results across observational, modeling, and theoretical approaches. In recent years, significant progress has been made in advancing our knowledge and understanding of Atlantic climate variability and in predicting future climate change in this region. This active coupling between ocean and atmosphere is largely responsible for modes of climate variability like the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO), the East Atlantic Pattern (EAP), the Atlantic Multidecadal Variability (AMV), and the South Atlantic subtropical dipole (SASD) that span a wide temporal and spatial spectrum.
